Introducing  DeeMoney Neo - the new and improved app to take care of all your international money transfer needs. The DeeMoney Neo app will be replacing the DeeMoney (Red) app.

On 15 November 2022, the DeeMoney (Red) app will stop processing new transactions. With this in mind, it's time to migrate from the DeeMoney (Red) App to the DeeMoney Neo App. (The sooner you start the more incentives you can avail)

If you currently use the DeeMoney (red) app for your international money transfer needs, we recommend that you download and register on the DeeMoney Neo App.

What happens after you have completed registration on the DeeMoney Neo App?

Your beneficiaries and transaction history will be automatically migrated to your profile on the DeeMoney Neo within 7 working days. Your current account in the DeeMoney (Red) app will be deactivated.

Why do I need to migrate?

Ever since we launched our service in 2018, we have been receiving constant feedback from customers on how we can improve certain aspects of our service, one of them being technology. We have invested heavily in upgrading our systems to make our service more secure, more flexible, and more user-friendly. This has resulted in our development of the ‘DeeMoney Neo’ Mobile App that enable us to offer customers a much better experience in terms of convenience, security and promotional offers.

What documents do I need to register on DeeMoney Neo App?

The following documents are required for registering on DeeMoney Neo app 

Thai Nationals:

- Thai ID card (front & back)

- Passport or driving license or government-issued document (front & back)

- House registration

Foreign Nationals:

- Passport

- Work permit (front & back)

- Visa or a government-issued ID from home country (front & back) or Thai driving license (front & back)

These documents need to be submitted, along with a Selfie, during the digital onboarding process when you choose ‘Sign Up’ on DeeMoney Neo.

Once your profile information and documents are received by us, we will contact you within 48 hours, to complete the registration process.

What happens to my transaction history and beneficiary list in the DeeMoney (Red) App?

Once you have been successfully registered on the DeeMoney Neo app, we will migrate your beneficiary list and transaction history, within 7 days. Please note, if you create a beneficiary with the same details as it exists on the old app before migration, you will see duplication of such beneficiaries on the DeeMoney Neo App.

Can I use both apps simultaneously?

No, once you have successfully migrated to the DeeMoney Neo app, we will deactivate your account on the DeeMoney (Red) app.

How are the payment options different from the old app?

In the DeeMoney (Red) App, we offer Direct Debit, QR, and KPlus.
In the DeeMoney Neo app, we offer QR, SCB & KPlus payment options.

How different is the ‘Send Amount’ calculation, as compared to the old app?

In the DeeMoney (Red) App, the 'Send Amount' does not include the Fee + VAT. In DeeMoney Neo, the fee and VAT are deducted from the 'Send Amount'.

What if I (customer) register on the DeeMoney Neo App with a new phone number? Can I ask to have my transaction history moved from the DeeMoney (Red) App (account with the old phone number) to the DeeMoney Neo App (new account with a new phone number)? Or do I have to request a phone number change before/after migration?

As long as we are able to verify that you are the same person, through your ID document and other details provided during registration, we will migrate your information, even if you’re using a new mobile no.

What if I (customer) don't wish to migrate to the new app and would like to continue to use the old app?

We are treating this as a system upgrade and therefore plan to switch off the old system by 15 Nov 2022. After this date, no one will be able to use the old app.

If I'm abroad, will I still be able to migrate to the new app?

As long as you’re able to register successfully on DeeMoney Neo with a Thai phone number, we don’t foresee any issue.

Is there any time period to migrate to the new app or can I do it at any time?

You can do it anytime before 15 Nov 2022. However, we recommend that you register on the DeeMoney Neo App sooner than later.
Additionally, we cannot guarantee that the current promotion will be available until that day.

Can the new registration be completed via app only or I can go to the branch?

All new registrations on DeeMoney Neo must be completed via the app. Our branch team is willing to assist you as much as possible, if you need ‘in person’ support.

Do I have to provide any documents for migration?

Yes, it is possible.

How will I know whether your new application works on my device or not? What if it doesn't work on my device?

The DeeMoney Neo app works on all mobile devices that have iOS version 11.0 or higher and Android version 6.0 or higher.

What if I don't have the required document for your new application? Am I not able to use your service anymore?

As per the latest regulations on KYC released by Bank of Thailand, every customer must provide the requested documents. If you’re unable to provide, you will not be able to use the DeeMoney Neo app.

Currently, I am overseas, using the DeeMoney (Red) app till now and before I move to Thailand again, but for the registration of the new application, a visa is required. What kind of documents should I provide instead of a valid visa?

The following documents are required from a foreign national for registering on DeeMoney Neo app 

- Passport

- Work permit (front & back)

- Visa OR a government-issued ID from home country (front & back) or Thai driving license (front & back)

These documents need to be submitted, along with a Selfie, during the digital onboarding process when you choose ‘Sign Up’ on DeeMoney Neo.

What is the difference between Old app and New app?

The DeeMoney Neo App has the following features :

On Neo, does it cover more corridors?

The DeeMoney Neo app offers the following additional countries/payout options:

  • South Korea
  • Sweden (EUR and SEK)

Do I need to upload same ID document, I used, when I registered on the Deemoney (Red) app? If I renewed my passport/work permit, what should I do?

Please provide the most current documents. In the DeeMoney (Red) App, we required only 1 ID. Since September 2021, as per the new BOT regulations, you are required to provide the list of documents mentioned above.

What happens after I complete registration on the DeeMoney Neo

As soon as you have been successfully registered on Deemoney Neo, we will deactivate your account on the current (red) app and migrate your beneficiary information and transaction history within 7 days. If you don’t wish to have this information migrated, please inform us on our support channels and let us know. Please note that we will be decommissioning the current (red) app by 15 Nov 2022, after which migration of your data will not be possible.

Why do I need to sign-up again?

We are in the process of shutting down our existing (red) app within the next few months and therefore need to move all customers to the new Neo app. At the same time, as per the latest KYC mandate released by the Bank of Thailand (BOT) effective 26 Sept 2021, all customers using international remittance services are required to provide a fresh set of documents. Therefore, since the registration on Neo app will be considered a new one, we are required to collect these documents to comply with BOT regulations.
